FAQ

Questions, answered

How does the free trial work?

You get full access for 7 days (14 on the Classroom plan). The trial is set up through the App Store on iOS or our web checkout in a browser, so a payment method is attached up front — but nothing is charged if you cancel before the trial ends, and we send a reminder two days beforehand. One free trial per account.

Where do I manage or cancel my subscription?

At whichever storefront took the money. If you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad it lives in your Apple subscriptions; if you subscribed in a browser you manage it from your Mixto account. We'll always point you at the right one.

Is viewing my child's progress really free?

Yes. Any parent can link to a child with a class or student code and view their map and progress at no cost — even when a teacher's subscription funds the play. You only pay when you're the one funding play.

My child uses Mixto in class. Do I need to pay too?

No. Access to play is granted if either a teacher's plan or a parent's plan covers the student. If the teacher's class covers them, your own subscription is optional — you can still link and watch for free.

What happens if our teacher stops using Mixto?

If your child's play was covered by a teacher subscription and that class is archived, we notify you so you can start a parent plan before access lapses. Your child's mastery progress carries over either way.

Is there really no procurement process for schools?

Correct — and we say so explicitly because teachers expect friction. The Classroom plan is $20/month or $199/year flat, sold direct to the teacher, covering up to two classrooms with unlimited students. No PO, no quote, no institutional contract.

Which grades and operations are covered?

Full K–5, across addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. A grown-up sets the focus scope — add & subtract, multiply & divide up to 10, or up to 12 — and the engine tunes to each student's level inside it.

What devices does Mixto run on?

iOS and the web at launch — which means it also runs on classroom Chromebooks. Android is planned for a later release.
